Mac Scheduled Tasks, Cron, and CronniX

If you’re a systems administrator or a developer who relies on scheduled tasks, or just an everyday user who would like to set something to run on a specific schedule, CronniX is a must have utility. Since Mac is based on unix in more ways then not, it relies on Cron to run its scheduled tasks. Cron is also available to users, but must be administered through the Terminal.
